Tim Wood
Tim joined the First4Lawyers business development team in March 2017, having worked in insolvency for 22 years.
Previously he spent 15 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), before moving on to become business development and relationship manager for boutique insolvency practices in Hertfordshire and Oxford.
It was at PwC that Tim worked on high profile insolvency cases such as Enron and Lehman Brothers. He has represented creditors in a wide variety of matters, including the fraudulent sale of ostrich eggs as investments - assisting Surrey Police in their criminal investigation - and a case involving an ex-Liverpool and England footballer who reneged on his contract.
At First4Lawyers Tim is the main point of contact for existing firms and potential new panel members in the midlands and south of the UK.
Based in the Cotswolds near Cheltenham, Tim is on the road for two or three days each week, making visits. He likes the traditional personal approach of face-to-face meetings with clients and catching up on industry gossip.
Tim is married to a midwife and has four children. The family love spending time in France and are lucky enough to have a place overlooking Saint Tropez.
Tim says his rugby and cricket days are a distant memory but he did play rugby to county level as a colt. He has also completed many 100+ mile cycle rides and tackled numerous French cols.
